Norton Big Wood - This site is open 7 days per week to the public. Gates will be open between 10am - 3pm Monday-Friday for vehicle access but pedestrian access is always available

Hill Holt Wood can only be accessed from the Southbound side (travelling towards Newark) of the A46 and the turning comes up quickly after the Swinderby junction. The car park in the woodland is free to use but please note that if events are taking place then these cars have priority and you may be asked to park elsewhere in the woods.
From Newark and Lincoln there are several companies who offer taxi services to the woodland. We advise you book the taxi in advance. Please follow the links below to see a list of taxis from your preferred location.
Collingham is the nearest station to Hill Holt Wood with trains usually running every thirty minutes on a weekday. With a lack of pedestrian crossings along the A46, we would recommend booking a taxi in advance to take you from Collingham Station to Hill Holt Wood.
