Senescence is the state of being old, or the process of becoming old. One way to feel invigorated is to get out there and do some good old fashioned conservation, and that’s what we did last week.
Rhododendron Bashing at Big Wood
A full complement of young people and almost all of our Ranger team (including senior management) headed over to our sister woodland to bash some invasive species. Loppers, saws, axes and forks were readied and war was declared. By the end of the day we had pulled over seven full tippers with the stuff and felt much the better for it. Now the land will gradually recover, neutralising the ph levels in the soil and eventually ushering in new species.
What an inspiring initiative! It’s amazing how working together on conservation can not only help the environment but also encourage us to talk to strangers and build connections. Great job, everyone!
I appreciate the group's activities. The group has been active and worked actively to contribute to the construction and restoration of the forest. doodle baseball
