Since returning from lockdown our main focus has been clearing back the vegetation that has started to overrun the site. This has mostly been bracken and bramble, which is relatively easy to remove by hand or with shears or loppers. Where the grass has got particularly long we've been cutting it back with a scythe, followed by mowing the area to get the length as short as possible. With the area immediately around the central oak tree cleared we are then able to begin plotting out and marking the beginnings of the labyrinth! All measurements are based from the central oak tree, and once we are happy with the measurements and positioning we can begin plotting out the initial rings, by marking out on the ground.
