Contract : Part Time - Fixed Term Contract from September 2023 - Until July 2024
Hours : Term time only - 30 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 9.30am - 3.30pm (Applications for 3 or 4 days a week may be considered)
Overview
Hill Holt Wood is a nationally recognised and award-winning Environmental Social Enterprise, it currently employs full and part time rangers and is engaged in a wide range of activities including the education of young people, extensive forestry operations, contracts with the local council, eco-construction, both design and build, events, and the Hive Café. It focuses on changing people’s lives within a sustainable, environmental setting. The organisation, quite simply, puts people first and works in a holistic way with the emphasis on positive change and social inclusion. The job will involve assisting and supporting learners aged 11-24 with additional learning needs as outlined in their Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).
The LSR will ensure that the learner/s can integrate as fully as possible in the activities generally undertaken by the other young people in the class and make progress.
The applicant will assist and support the ranger in charge of the group with activities; these will include basic Math’s, English, ICT and either Horticulture Animal Care or Heritage Woodcraft.
Full driving licence essential.
