Salary : £18,966 per annum

Contract : Full Time, Permanent

Hours : 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30-4.30pm with occasional weekend working required (on rota basis)

Holidays: 24 days holiday entitlement plus bank holidays

Overview

Hill Holt Wood is a nationally recognised and award-winning Environmental Social Enterprise. It currently employs 37 full and part time rangers and is engaged in a wide range of activities including the education of young people, extensive forestry operations, contracts with the local council, eco-construction, both design and build (Design:HHW), and events and hire, including the Hive Café. It has enjoyed considerable success over the last 18 years and continues to build on its strong position focusing on sustainability, environmentalism, conservation and social awareness.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working with wood working machinery, power tools and hand tools.

  • Be able to interpret technical drawings and use this information to produce physical products and complete construction tasks.

  • Be able to manage a continual workload to achieve timely targets.

  • Have a keen eye for detail and good communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

  • Progress live construction projects alongside other members of a team.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous carpentry/joinery experience

Full driving licence essential.
