It was lovely to have a visit from the Groundwork Manchester folks who bravely camped in the Roman Villa despite the heavy rainfall. Parts of the wood were absolutely sodden but we managed to sample some axe work, play some team building games and bash some rhodey at Big Wood.
Ranger Nigel delivered and certificated some of our Study Programme learners on the Rural Skills strummer course hosted at the wood. We hope that the participants will find their new skills useful when looking for work in the future or when partaking in conservation activity.
Rangers Tom and Mike went to Wales to visit the North Wales Wildlife Trust with two of our Study Programme learners. They loved snorkelling about in the water and were amazed by how much they could see.
