The Study Programme at Hill Holt Wood - "Training the Individual"

Set in a beautiful woodland setting, the Hill Holt Wood Study Programme is a unique opportunity to get out of the classroom and spend time in our natural environment.
The aim of the Study Programme is to maximise the potential of young people through our vocational qualifications and work experience, we support our learners with their progression into employment, further learning and training through our dedicated careers information advice and guidance programme.

We offer the following exciting pathways on the Study Programme:
• Horticulture - Landscaping
• Heritage Woodcraft
• Horticulture – Land Management
• Construction
• Hospitality

As part of our full curriculum we also offer Functional Skills Maths, English and ICT; British Values and Environmental Sustainability, along with industry specific training such as Strimmer Training, Basic Food Hygiene and First Aid courses. We will help you learn to stay safe in your physical environment and in the virtual one with our Personal development and wellbeing sessions.
We know that traditional 6th Form and College isn’t for everyone. Some students drop out soon after starting and we may be able to offer an alternative education in a woodland setting.
If you are between 16-18, have finished school and are not currently in training, full time employment or further education then our Study Programme is the course for you! We have specially trained staff offering a variety of additional educational and welfare support. If you have an EHCP then you can access our provision up to the age of 24 years old.
